Welcome to the PledgeManager for Mint Delivery - The minty fresh pick up and deliver game!
If you missed our campaign, don't dismay! Just choose an option below.

Designed by Justin Blaske (Area 1851, Mint Works), Mint Delivery is a refreshingly light pick up and deliver game for 2 to 5 players with easy-to-learn rules and exciting strategic gameplay, all in about fifteen minutes.

Its compact size makes it easy to put in your pocket and take it anywhere. Coupling that with its approachable ruleset, Mint Delivery is a great tool for introducing new players to the genre of pick up and deliver.

Check out the Mint Delivery rules to see more detail about what makes Mint Delivery tick.

All Cards contained within a copy of Mint Delivery are printed upon Premium 305GSM blue core card stock. Mint and Truck Tokens are made of Wood and all other tokens are made from 2mm thick chipboard. All printed components will have a linen finish.

"...Even if pick up and deliver games are not your cup of tea try this one out and you might find a renewed interest in the genre." - MHGreenleaf

"Played a prototype yesterday and really enjoyed it. Similar to Mint Works, even though it's small there's a lot going on." - MichaelDyrud

In Mint Delivery, players take the role of a mint delivery truck driver, driving around the area taking orders for mints, then delivering them. Each player has two actions on their turn, such as moving, loading their truck, and upgrading the mints they are carrying. Once enough orders have been taken, the game ends.

Whoever has fulfilled the highest value of orders will be deemed the employee of the month and win.

Five24 Labs on Social Media:

Mint Delivery was created after the success of Mint Works, with the idea to introduce another mechanism to non-gamers while still being interesting enough for gamers to want to bring it to the table.

I wanted to come up with another quick easy to teach game for a mechanism that I felt didn't have a lot of options that didn't take a long time to play, while also straying away from games with direct conflict between players.

Pick up and deliver seemed like a really good place to start. Since the vast majority of these types of games tend to be quite long, and have a lot of gotcha kinds of rules.

That gave me this set of constraints that I utilized for making Mint Delivery:

  • Has to fit in a mint tin
  • Has to be taught as easy or easier than Mint Works
  • Has to play quickly

With those constraints in mind, I started the task.

Since it was to fit in a mint tin, I decided to continue the same visual style that we used with Mint Works, and also to continue the overarching narrative of Mort from the first game. It seemed logical to me that Mort has had a lot of success with his mint making company and has started to branch out and provide mints to more than just the local neighborhoods.

That gave a great foundation for the supply/demand chain that would be the foundation of the pick up and deliver mechanism. I didn't want the mint requests to be too flat, so i added some "improved" type mints to the mix at that point. Which essentially gives us 3 forms of currency instead of just one.

From that point, it was all about creating orders for mints, a few locations to pick mints up from, and a map to lay it all out. And that's where we are now.

If you are excited enough for Mint Delivery that you just can't wait for the fully produced copies to get here from the factory, I have provided a limited pledge level.

This level will entitle you to a copy of the fully factory produced version of Mint Delivery as all other backers, but it will also include a hand made advance copy delivered shortly after the campaign ends.

The advance copies will be entirely hand made by me in my workshop and numbered. (e.g. 03/50.)

The advance copies will be of similar quality to the prototypes that you see in the review videos. See below for examples.

Because Mint Delivery is a small game in terms of physical size and weight, shipping costs are very reasonable. The manufacturing costs are low enough that VAT shouldn't be a concern.

I wish that I could provide free shipping to the majority of places, however the low price point of the game means I have very little wiggle room for costs.

That said, I will be providing free shipping within the US, and applying a discount to shipping elsewhere equal to the cost of shipping within the US. Here is a brief chart explaining the shipping costs:

We have partnered up with Mr. B Games to assist in the fulfillment process to ensure that everyone gets their rewards quickly, correctly and in great condition.

I would like to support retailers who are interested in getting Mint Delivery before the game makes its way into distribution. If you're a retailer, please send me a message here on Kickstarter, or email md.retail@five24labs.com during the campaign for pricing information.

We will also be funding a re-print of Mint Works with this campaign, you can add extra copies of Mint Works at $10 each during the campaign, or later on during the pledge manager.

Note: Any add-ons that you select will be delivered at the same time as the rest of your rewards from this campaign.

Since the map doesn't change from game to game, we came up with the idea of using a mat for the game to play on during demos, it worked out so well that we have decided to add custom mint delivery mats on as add-ons to any pledge level as well.

Currently we are a small but potent team that consists of two Mad Scientists myself and Mel (you might recognize him as Mort) and our awesome testing group.

I'd like to use this space to acknowledge and thank them. I have an amazing, excellent and dedicated group of players that tolerate my crazy ideas and endless iterations.

They are up to the task of attempting to break things, and giving real feedback as we develop projects. I can't possibly thank them enough for all the work they do for the wages of snacks and fun and mild torture (in the form of terrible game ideas.)
